Hunt & Light is proud to announce the publication of Miserable Poems by Jacqueline Farrara. With a theme of erotic sadness, the chapbook zine also features art by Ms. Farrara, who works under the name ATLASTART. The poetry cuts to the bone by mapping the misery of love across an emotional landscape. Ms. Farrara juxtaposes her poems on the roughed up surfaces of scissored world maps, with billboarded words stamped on the page. In the tradition of artists and writers bold enough to face the exacting chaos of intertwined souls, Miserable Poems lets us unwind.
Jacqueline Farrara was born in Ohio, and grew up in New Jersey and Canada. She is a graduate of The Art Institute of New York, and granddaughter of renowned Ukrainian artist Aka Pereyma. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions and installations in New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles and Sri Lanka. Miserable Poems is her first collection. She lives in New York and Italy.
